Our current window display is an eclectic fantasy world just in time for Halloween, brought to us by Catherine Armbrust & Trudy Rogers-Denham. I first worked with Catherine & Trudy when they installed their collaborative work at the Craft Studio Gallery at the University of Missouri. Everyone who walked by the gallery stopped in their tracks and had to take a closer look,
The Yellow Dog window display doesn’t disappoint, showcasing swans made from latex assemblages floating through the air over a carpet made of colored sand and astro-bright aquarium rock. Specimen jars filled with unusual objects like plastic animal parts, feathers, and even the grim reaper add even more visual interest.
I love working with artists and seeing their ideas come to fruition in a tangible way. We hope our window will feature different artists in the up coming months!
